About Me

I’m Dominique Wilford, Founder and CEO of Lead Launch LLC, a sports consulting company dedicated to mentoring and guiding individuals who aspire to build successful careers in the sports industry. Lead Launch was created to help aspiring sports professionals navigate one of the most competitive industries in the world. My mission is simple: to use my experience, network, and insights to connect you with the right opportunities, and equip you with the strategies to make the most of them.

My Journey

Over the past 25+ years, I have built a diverse career spanning coaching, team ownership, sales, management, scouting, and sports media.

• Coaching (15+ Years) – My career began in coaching, where I spent more than a decade developing athletes and shaping teams. This experience gave me a deep understanding of both the athletic and operational sides of sports.

• Team Ownership (3 Years) – As owner and operator of a women’s minor league basketball organization (WMLBA), I learned the realities of running a sports enterprise — from contract negotiations to team building — and developed skills in marketing, sponsorship, and event management.

• Scouting – My passion for identifying and developing talent led me to Synergy Sports Technology, where I served as a video scout for five years. This role sharpened my ability to evaluate players, assess potential, and provide constructive feedback to athletes, coaches, and executives.

• Sports Media & Management (8 Years) – As Business Manager for SportsTalk2319, I’ve overseen public relations, business operations, and brand growth, gaining first-hand experience in sports journalism, broadcasting, and PR strategy.
